Padraig Arthur | MSCSI, MRICS, MPM

Managing Director, Project Manager, Chartered Quantity Surveyor

Padraig Arthur has over two decades of experience in all main aspects of the construction industry, including residential, commercial, health, education, and light civil engineering. His firm has served a wide variety of clients in the private and public sectors, including government agencies, religious orders, court services, developers, commercial enterprises, main contractors and specialist subcontractors.

Padraig has qualified to chartership status with both the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland (SCSI). In recognition of the growing importance of the role of professional Project Managers in the construction industry and in appreciation of the complementary link between Quantity Surveying and Project Management, Padraig recently completed a Masters in Project Management at the University of Limerick.

Having founded Chancery Group in 1997 (as Padraig Arthur & Associates), Padraig took on the mission of providing reliable, integrity-driven professional services to the construction industry. Padraig chose to base his company in the Midlands, the better to offer a nationwide, comprehensive service to clients. His practice is ISO-accredited and holds unblemished Professional Indemnity Insurance.

We take the view that our word is our bond in all three of our core disciplines: Quantity Surveying & Cost Consultancy, Project Management Services, and Engineering Design & Consultancy.

Integrity is at the core of Chancery Group’s mission. We believe in working hard, planning, and standing by our commitments. We also recognise that every interaction we undertake on behalf of our clients affects the final result. For two decades, we have sought to bring foresight, sound decision-making, and a responsible, holistic approach to all of our professional relationships.

Robert King

Senior Chartered Structural Engineer

Robert has over 25 years experience across Irish and UK construction industries. Starting his career as a site engineer, he quickly progressed to project manager becoming a Chartered Engineer in 2008. Having worked in senior positions in both consultancy and main contracting, Robert brings a broad range of knowledge and experience from a diverse range of construction projects, including heavy civil engineering, groundworks, pipelines, residential, commercial, industrial, leisure and accommodation.

Robert believes that having worked in both design and contracting, in almost equal measure, provides a range of skill sets that is a huge asset when identifying project risks and solutions.

Prior to joining Chancery Group, Robert was Project Manager on a number of very successful large-scale construction projects in the Irish Midlands, gaining excellent experience in progressing large projects from initial conception to final handover. With a flexible and positive approach to his work, Robert endeavours to provide design that can be taken through construction in a near seamless manner, while engaging with all members of the construction team in a pro-active way.

With a background in civil and structural engineering, Robert has recently completed further education in fire engineering design and Irish building regulations. Designing and building safely is also a key consideration and Robert has valued experience within the role of PSDP & PSCS across small and large projects. Within Chancery Group, Robert works hand in glove with the Quantity Surveying Team and the Design Team to clearly define work scopes, support tendering processes and progress construction projects for a broad range of Clients.
